Naringin is a flavanone glycoside. It is a major flavonoid extracted from the inner peel of grapefruit, (and other citrus fruits in lower amounts), responsible for giving the fruit its bitter, sharp flavour/taste. More specifically Naringin is a bioflavonoid, arguably one of the most important emerging classes of nutrients.
